Pairs Competition – Tuesday 20th November 2018

Men’s Pairs competition:

  • Please check already which board you are due to play on so on the day we try and avoid confusion.
  • Matches up to Last 32 will all be played on the same board for your (top or bottom) group.
  • Last 16 match will be played on the first board in your Group (ex: Group 1 Top v Group 1 Bottom will be played on Board 1, Group 2 Top v Group 2 Bottom will be played on Board 3 etc…).
  • Once all the Last 16 matches are played we will be calling out the four Quarter Final matches on random boards.
  • Semi Finals and Finals will be played on Thursday 22nd November.

IMPORTANT RULES:

  • Vital that both players are at their board and ready to start when scheduled to play.
  • On each board there will be a clipboard with the schedule/draw and its the winner’s responsibility to update with their score.
  • Losing player/s MUST stay on the same board to mark/call the next match. This will aid us in speeding up match-flow.
  • Once the Last 16 match is completed its the winner’s responsibility to return the completed draw sheet + clip board to the control desk.
  • We will be using a maximum of 22 boards on Tuesday so there will be a minimum of 10 practice boards available for the players.
