MALTA OPEN 2017 – GENERAL RULES

  • Tournament is played as per WDF rules:

  • Men’s Pairs – Best of 7 Legs.
  • Ladies Pairs – Best of 5 Legs.
  • Men’s Singles – Best of 7 Legs.
  • Ladies Singles best of 5 Legs.
  • Ladies Singles Last 16 onward best of 7 Legs.
  • Semi-Final Men’s Singles – Best of 9 Legs.
  • Final Men’s Singles – Best of 11 Legs (tie-break Rule apply on 5-5 till 7-7, the 15th Leg will be Sudden Death).
  • Final Men’s Pairs – Best of 7 Legs.
  • Final Ladies Pairs – Best of 5 Legs.
  • Final Ladies Singles – Best of 7 Legs
  • Bull is thrown to determine order of play.
  • Losing Players have to mark the next game.
  • Each Player is allowed 6 practice darts prior each game as soon as the Official Signals Start of game.
  • No Headgear is allowed.
  • No Headphones are allowed during play. Players can wear earplugs.
  • Strictly Trousers and Shoes on Finals Night. No Shorts, jeans, runners, flip-flops will be allowed.
  • No Food or Beverage is allowed in Playing Area. Only Water is allowed.
  • Only players wearing identification badge/wristband will be allowed in playing area.
  • Players/teams must attend their assigned match-boards at the designated time failure to do so may lead to the forfeiture of the match – a time limit of 3 minutes is allowed.
  • It is suggested that players stay in the playing area and bar area where sound system is installed.
  • Any in play issues have to be redirected to floor referee. No protest (game related) will be accepted after the games.
